Everlight will begin licensed recovery-focused counseling services on or before February 1st, 2026. Joining our waiting list is the first step to begin services.
Everlight provides recovery-focused counseling grounded in the latest scientific research about the brain and nervous system, and current best practices in addiction recovery. We offer a personalized, compassionate, no-shame/no-blame approach that honors the whole person—not just the substance use. Everlight does not rely on the “Twelve Steps.” Instead, we focus on the underlying reasons addiction patterns develop and persist, including stress responses, trauma histories, mental health needs, relationship patterns, and the ways the nervous system learns to cope.
Everlight’s approach is client-driven and centered on harm reduction. You decide how and when you want to make changes, and we support your autonomy while collaborating on realistic, meaningful goals. We listen closely to your own ideas about what you need to recover and blend that lived wisdom with up-to-date research to create a treatment plan that fits you. Because each person’s path to recovery is different, our role is to provide steady guidance, practical tools, and a supportive relationship—so you can move forward at your pace, in a way that feels safe and sustainable.
At Everlight, we honor grief as a profoundly personal journey. Together, we discuss how grief alters your brain and behavior and offer tangible ways to heal. Our goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can tell your story, understand your feelings, and move through grief at your own pace. You do not have to carry it alone.
Grief can be rooted in or experienced during:
There is no timeline with grief. Everlight moves beyond the 5 Stages of Grief, incorporating mindfulness, tasks of mourning, and the latest research on grief and its impact on the brain and body. We understand the complexities of grief and are here to support you through this journey.
Everlight's Family Stress Management Services help parents and caregivers identify the root causes of stress in the home and respond in healthy, supportive ways. Everlight works with parent (s) or those in a parental role, without the child (ren) present. We honor that parents represent all genders and identities, and families come in many forms, including chosen families. We use your definition of family to guide services.
Everlight partners with parents and caregivers to reduce stress, strengthen coping skills, executive functioning skills, and build more connected relationships between all family members. This service is especially helpful if you, or a member of your family, are struggling with big behaviors, mental wellness, or trauma. We work with families with minor and adult children, and our goal is to help you create a more grounded, safer, more organized, and more connected home for you and your family.
Everlight’s Life Skills Support Services help individuals nurture self-awareness, build emotional resiliency, and foster self-compassion through education, guidance, and skill-building. Services focus on reducing stress and anxiety, enhancing overall well-being, fostering caring, fulfilling relationships, and improving executive functioning skills. This service is especially helpful for adults experiencing symptoms of ADHD, depression, anxiety, or other mental wellness challenges, people who are struggling with stress and chaos, or adults who are looking to rebuild their life in a healthy, safe, and functional manner.
Participants are encouraged to recognize their thinking and relationship patterns, explore how stress and trauma feel in the body, and understand how current life circumstances may possibly be rooted in trauma or adverse childhood experiences. Personal growth and a more peaceful life are encouraged through skill-building in emotional regulation and improved executive functioning.
Participants learn what is and is not healthy in relationships while developing new ways to communicate, resolve conflicts, rebuild trust, and deepen connection. We offer a safe, supportive environment to explore what is working in your life (and why), what needs attention, and how to move from feeling stuck in patterns of stress toward greater calm, freedom, and connection.
If you feel like your life is out of control, Life Skills Support may be the right fit for you.
Not to be confused with the parent education classes required in Wisconsin divorce or custody cases, Everlight’s Parent Education Program focuses on parents and caregivers who may need more intensive education and support. All parents love their children. Everlight's parent education program helps parents show their love through their words, actions, and make their child/ren feel emotionally safe.
Everlight's Parent Education Program is a structured, virtual curriculum offered in six, eight, or twelve sessions and is tailored to each family’s individual needs and circumstances. Parents and social workers /service facilitators can choose from a menu of topics, including improving parental protective capacities and understanding why traditional discipline often fails if the child has a trauma history. The program shares information on child development, focusing on age-appropriate behaviors and why your child may not be behaving at the level you feel they should be. Additional topics explore how intense behaviors are often rooted in past trauma, acute stress, physical or sexual abuse, neglect, or attachment disruption.
If requested, Everlight can provide a syllabus for court review and written updates on service engagement and progress for social workers and/or the court. The program can also be adapted to meet initial or ongoing foster parent education needs. It can be customized to fulfill pre-adoptive and/or foster care licensing requirements for child-specific education.
